Art is crucial to civilization, a means by which the species survives.
The idea of beauty is the mechanism which attracts us to art, enables us to engage reality without the veil of prejudgement.
The commonality that engages the viewer with the artist moves us closer. We approach the most important element needed for our world at this time and space, and that is compassion.
